Seven-time GRAMMY® winner Taylor Swift is a passionate supporter of literacy and libraries. Partnering with Scholastic Books, Taylor has made generous book donations to the public library in her home town of Reading, Pennsylvania, as well as the public library in Nashville, Tennessee where she currently resides. Billboard’s reigning “Artist of the Year,” Taylor is also accomplished in film and TV, having voiced the character of Audrey in the movie Dr. Seuss’s The LORAX, contributed two songs to the soundtrack of the movie The Hunger Games, guest-starred on CSI, and hosted Saturday Night Live.
Taylor can be seen next starring as Rosemary in The Giver. Based on Lois Lowry’s 1994 Newbery Medal-winning YA novel of the same name, the film centers on Jonas (Brenton Thwaites) who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community. The Giver is in theaters on August 15.
