Thanks
to a balmy spring here in Portland, we are getting our fingers in our
garden soil earlier than usual. It’s never too soon to dream of future
fat tomatoes. Many of the recent cookbook releases echo our
preoccupation with fruits and veggies, although it will be a little
while before we’ll be able to gloriously cook our own provender. In the
meanwhile, our office staff has happily lugged a lot of cookbooks back
and forth from office to home and back again so we could test-drive
